Seems everything breaks.

Thu Nov 5, 2009, 11:29 AM
I just tore what looks to be a one inch by one inch scrap of rubber treading off the sole of my shoe while practising wallruns. Just came off the wall and landed, took a few steps, and something didn't feel right. Looked back and there's a scrap of my shoe on the ground. I think that's the first time something like that has happened to me - usually I can see problems starting and catch things before they occur, but this time that wasn't the case. I made the landing just fine, but looks like my shoe didn't. I suppose it's time to get new ones. I think this time I'll wait and go back to town and get myself a set of Vibram Five-Fingers... y'know, those things that look like "gloves for your feet." For now, thanks to the winter, I'm practicing on the track, so that should be a bit better on my knees.

I seem to be burning through new shoes very quickly these days for some reason. It's probably because of my lifestyle, because I also tend to destroy clothing just as easily, but something makes me wonder if it's also that these products aren't engineered to last as long because they go out of style or are replaced so quickly.
